The dumbest part of the Target controversy is that somebody began a sentence with “As a company.”
That phrase always sounds like someone talking down to you—as though you might have forgotten that Target is, in fact, a company.
Target is a massive company. How did nobody read that before posting it and say, “No actual person talks like this”? It’s the kind of thing people write on LinkedIn when they want to sound smarter and more important than everyone reading it.
“As a company” is such an angry millennial corporate woman way to start a sentence.
